the cable lock has a closing cable with lock housing at one end with key-operated lock mechanism (4) which to interact with the closing bolt (3) has as locking mechanism two U-shaped locking bars (6) which can be displaced perpendicular to the insert direction of the bolt in the insert channel jointly in translation movement in one plane and contra to one another. Closing springs (7) act on the two locking bars in the locking direction of same.
