A spray gun for operation at an air compressor 12 is indicated, with a hose connecting piece for taking off compressed air and a hose connecting piece for taking off suction power, which has a gun housing 15 with a hose connection 17 for an air hose 13 to the air compressor and a spray nozzle 41 as well as a spray medium supply pipe 20 opening in the air flow path 19 between hose connection 17 and spray nozzle 41. To prevent damage to the air compressor in the event that the air hose 13 connected to the spray gun is inadvertently connected wrongly to the hose connecting piece for taking off suction power, a check valve 22 with a blocking direction pointing towards the hose connection 17 is arranged in the section of the air flow path 19 lying between the hose connection 17 and the opening 21 of the spray medium supply pipe 20. |
