摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously monitor a decrease in activity of adsorbent to detect it, and to automatically inject a neutralizer when the decrease in activity of adsorbent is detected. SOLUTION: From a flow rate 13 of limestone slurry fed to an absorber and limestone concentration 20, the fed quantity of limestone is obtained, and from absorber inlet SOX concentration 22, absorber outlet SOX concentration 26, and waste gas flow rate 24, the absorbed quantity of SOX is obtained, and from the fed quantity of limestone and the absorbed quantity of SOX, an excess limestone rate P is obtained. When the excess limestone rate P exceeds an upper limit set value H continuously for set time T, activity of adsorbent is judged decreased, thereby detecting a decrease in activity of adsorbent. When the decrease in activity of adsorbent is detected, the decrease in activity of absorbent is eliminated by injecting a neutralizer 16 until the sodium concentration of liquid absorbent 1 of the absorber 3 reaches set concentration X. After that, when a decrease in activity of absorbent is detected again, the set quantity Y of the neutralizer 16 is injected.</p>
