<p>The system accurately meters pasty material and fills containers with it without compressing it. A metering auger (6) in a metering tube (1) is turned in the reverse direction in the material, and after the tube has been opened the auger is slid in its axial direction, thrusting out the portion of material before it. When the auger has returned to its lowermost starting position again, the extruded portion of the material below it and the tube is parted off and the tube is shut again. The linear reverse movement of the auger can depend on its pitch and angular velocity.</p> |
