<p>The method carries linkset-relevant SS7 network work functions based on signals in accordance with M3UA. During the establishment phase, M3UA connections are mapped onto pseudo-linksets (116), to define a pseudo-linkset as the quantity of M3UA connections (114) between a signaling gateway (108) and an application server (110). Using a set of SS7 parameters and parameter values, it is determined whether the quantity of traffic to be processed by the application server is fixed unambiguously. During this phase the pseudo linksets are stored in a data bank. In an operational phase, the linkset-referenced SS7 network functions are carried out on the signals, by detecting an allocated pseudo linkset and use of the SS7 network functions on the signals of the M3UA connection determined using the data bank. An independent claim is included for the corresponding signaling gateway.</p> |
