Method and device for producing printed products

The method involves introducing two folded and closed printed products in a holding compartment, and moving the compartment in a conveying direction. Each product is opened and an insert is inserted into the product, during the movement of the compartment. The introduced products have respective side surfaces resting against each other and are moved in that position jointly along a processing section, before opening. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for producing final printed products, comprising a feed unit.
