The invention relates to a method for measuring the stroke frequency of piston pumps, in particular of controlled-volume pumps. The aim of the invention consists in increasing the accuracy of measurement of the piston stroke frequency. It is the object of the invention to develop a method for measuring the stroke frequency of piston pumps without measuring the driving speed. The object is achieved when the stroke frequency is determined by measuring the temporal sequence of the stroke counting pulses and subsequent calculation by means of an integrated computing circuit. <IMAGE>
