PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction due to a flaw, dust, etc., and to shorten a down time originating from a fatal flaw, etc., by clearing a position stored when specific mark width is not obtained if the position is not detected again. CONSTITUTION:Reading operation is carried on by a signal obtained by a mark detection sensor 19 until a mark signal is inputted and a discrimination whether there is a position stored as a miss point is made during said period; when it is stored, the stored miss point value is cleared and position information for a new miss point is read and stored. It is added to the counter which counts the continuance of miss points to decide on whether the continuous value of miss points exceeds mark width or not; when so, copying operation is inhibited and an alarm as a photosensitive body error is generated. |
