PURPOSE:To integrate a two-color recordng head without lowering positional accuracy or productivity, by providing the second recording electrode row by using an insulating film provided with the first recording electrode row as a reference. CONSTITUTION:A polyimide film 11 provided with the first color recording electrodes 12 by vapor deposition of nickel or the like on the entire surface, coating a resist, exposure to light through a photo-mask, removing the resist, etching or the like is cut to a predetermined size. Both end electrodes 121, 122 of the electrodes 12 and both end electrodes 141, 142 of the second color recording electrodes 14 are positioned with a transparent insulating layer 13 therebetween by optically detecting them, and are masked on the layer 13. Then, the remainder of the electrodes 14 are formed by etching while positioning them on the basis of the electrodes 141, 142 wherein the electrodes 12 and 14 are positioned easily and accurately. Then, an insulating layer 15, bias electrodes 16, 17 and the like are provided, whereby the two-color recording head can be integrally formed without lowering positional accuracy or productivity. |
