PURPOSE:To improve clutch performance of disengagement by forming a large diameter part receiving magnetic powder in both side parts in the direction of breadth of the internal peripheral friction face of a driving member and enlarging a gap between friction faces of both inner and outer peripheries of a driving member at the time of no excitation. CONSTITUTION:A yoke 14 as a driving member is equipped with an exciting coil 16 inside and an inner peripheral friction face 18 on an inner peripheral face. Both side parts in the direction of breadth of the inner peripheral friction face 18 is a big diameter face 16 larger than the inner peripheral friction face 18, which is wholly projected from the inner peripheral face of the yoke 14 out to the outer peripheral friction face 30 side of a rotor 28. When an exciting coil 16 is not excited, magnetic powder 36 sticks in layers to the inner peripheral face of the yoke 14 following centrifugal face. Since the greater part of the magnetic powder 36 is received in the part of the big diameter face 61, a gap (a) between said powder 36 on the inner peripheral friction face 18 and the outer peripheral friction face 30 can be enlarged, and the clutch performance of disengagement can be improved. |
