FIELD: mechanical engineering; methods of the rails heat treatment. ^ SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular, to the method of the heat treatment of rails. The technical result of the invention is production of the structure of a plate-type perlite with the certain level of hardness in a combination with the high wear resistance. For achievement of the technical result the rail after its rolled heating is at first cooled down to the temperature of the rail core - approximately to 750-850°C, then heat the rail surface at least up to the temperature of the core and finally cool it. ^ EFFECT: the invention ensures production of the structure of a plate-type perlite with the certain level of hardness in a combination with the high wear resistance. ^ 8 cl, 2 dwg, 1 ex |
