The decorative system has at least one base unit and at least one individual design element (1-10) whereby the base unit accommodates the design element which can be removed again. One design element can be tiled with another corresponding design element. The edge of the design element can be positively locked into the edge of another design element. The design element may have a relief on the edge and which has a form which positively locks with the relief of another design element.
