<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an appropriate processing so as to obtain print output as expected among hold jobs stored inside a print processor before and after updating firmware. <P>SOLUTION: The print processor comprises: a hold job storage part for storing print jobs received from an information processor, which are the print jobs including print data and the information of functions to be used for the processing of the print data; a function difference extraction part for acquiring the functions that a new version can process and extracting the functions lacking consistency with the ones when the print data in the hold job storage part are prepared in order to update updatable firmware for processing the print data to the new version; a hold job extraction part for extracting the print jobs for which expected print is not to be outputted by the firmware of the new version due to the use of the functions lacking the consistency among the print jobs stored in the hold job storage part; and a hold job processing part for deleting the extracted print jobs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
