PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air spring capable of taking a measure for preventing rolling-up of a diaphragm. SOLUTION: This air spring is provided with a piston 2 connected with an axle side, an upper face plate 3 connected with a vehicle body side above it, and the cylindrical diaphragm 4 arranged between the piston 2 and the upper face plate 3. One end part of the diaphragm 4 is fixed to the upper face plate 3, its lower side is folded inward, and the other end part is fixed to an inward side of an upper end face of the piston through an outer peripheral side wall 2a. A pressing means for nipping the diaphragm 4 is provided between a shoulder part of the piston 2 and the diaphragm. This pressing means nips the diaphragm 4 between a pressing flange 15 and the shoulder part 2d of the piston by extending the pressing flange 15 in the outward direction from its outer peripheral fringe by utilizing a lower side nipping device 6 to suppress rolling-up phenomenon of the diaphragm 4 which may occur using the shoulder part 2d of the piston 2 as a start point even when abrupt stroke in the direction of elongation occurs in the air spring.
