PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of resonance in a power transmission capable of changing the wrapping radius of a transmission node by changing the groove width of a pulley by using a hydraulic force. SOLUTION: This continuously variable transmission A comprises first and second variable diameter pulleys 3 and 4 and a chain 5 stretched across the pulleys 3 and 4. The first variable diameter pulley 3 comprises a movable sheave 7 and a fixed sheave 6. The movable sheave 7 is energized to the fixed sheave 6 side by an energizing force generated by an oil chamber 8 and a spring 36. The second variable diameter pulley 4 comprises a movable sheave 22 and a fixed sheave 21. The movable sheave 22 is energized to the fixed sheave 21 side by an energizing force generated by the oil chamber 23 and a spring 48.
