PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding friction damper capable of increasing vibration damping performance by the same shape as before. SOLUTION: This sliding friction damper 10 comprises a cylindrical first member 11 formed by covering the inner surface of an outer metal fixture 12 by a first rubber elastic body layer 13 and a round bar-like second member 15 formed by covering the outer surface of the inner metal fixture 16 by a second rubber elastic body layer 17 and disposed by inserting into the first member 11.
