PURPOSE:To obtain a good brazing coupling by the flaxless brazing method by a method wherein one end of the pipe coupling at the inner and outer surface of which brazing material layer are provided, is inserted to a flat pipe, and the other end of said coupling is inserted to the recessed place provided in a union respectively, and are heated and brazed. CONSTITUTION:A pipe coupling 8 is a different diameter pipe, and brazing material are cladded in the inner and outer surfaces. One end part 9 of the pipe coupling 8 is circular and the other end 10 of it is flat and the middle part 11 of it is tapered. A circular recessed place 12 is provided at the union 2 for inserting to the circular end 9 of the pipe coupling 8, and, on the other hand, the flat end 10 of the pipe coupling 8 is made to open dimension to fit with the flat pipe 1. The union 2, the pipe coupling 8 and the flat pipe 1 are joined together, and are put into a brazing furnace together with a main body of the heat exchanger and heated and blazed without using flax. Hereby, in the heat exchanger, the union 2 is connected to the flat pipe 1 through the intermediary of the pipe coupling 8. |
