PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a hot-dip plated steel sheet with an aluminum-zinc alloy containing such a large amount of aluminum as 20 to 95 mass%, which does not require to heat-treat a plated film for improving the workability, or can shorten a heat treatment period even when heat-treating it, and sufficiently improves the workability of the plated film. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method includes a plating step of forming the plated film on the steel sheet, by contacting the steel sheet with a hot-dip plating bath of the aluminum-zinc alloy containing 20 to 95 mass% aluminum.
