CHRONIC HEPATOPATHY THERAPEUTIC AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic agent for chronic hepatopathy including cirrhosis for which no effective therapy has been found so far. SOLUTION: Hepatic spare ability decline is prevented by administering relevant patients with oxygen or an oxygen-enriched gas. Its administration to patients being in development of hepatic/pulmonary syndrome realizes ameliorating hypoxemia and preventing hepatic spare ability decline. Furthermore, by administering such a gas to patients relatively slight in the progression of hypoxemia, hepatic spare ability decline-proof effect is realized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
