PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod adjusting structure with which strong and stable extension and contraction operations are actualized, fixation of joint parts is effectively prevented and rod handleability is improved. SOLUTION: The inner wall of a third rod 13 is equipped with projection parts 132 composed of prepreg 31 using a reinforced fiber having a fiber orientation in the peripheral direction and the outer wall of a second rod 12 is equipped with second projection parts 122 that are engaged with the first projection parts 132 in the axial direction and are composed of prepreg 24 using a reinforced fiber having an inclined fiber orientation and third projection parts 121 that are separated from the second projection parts and composed of prepreg 23 using a reinforced fiber having fiber orientation in a peripheral direction. When the second and the third rods 12 and 13 are extended, the first and the second projection parts 132 and 122 are mutually engaged in the axial direction, the first projection part 132 have a gap between them and the outer wall of the second rod 12 and the second and the third projection parts 122 and 121 have a gap between them and the inner wall of the third rod 13.
