CHANNEL SIMULATION AND DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM AND USE THEREOF

The invention relates to a channel simulation platform comprising: input means for receiving input signals representing transmitted signals; converting means for converting the input signals from the audio/video domain into the analog or digital baseband domain or in the opposite direction; controlling means for providing at least one geometric channel model defined by channel parameters changing in the course of the simulation calculations, and; signal processing means (FPGA, DSP) for generating at least one output signal by shaping the input signal according to the signal shaping properties of the channel model. The channel simulation platform is designed for simulating at least one transmission channel of a multichannel radio transmission system, and the signal processing means (FPGA, DSP) are designed for mathematically mapping a MIMO-suitable geometric channel model. This channel model is configured for the real-time calculating of the course of propagation of a number of channels of a multichannel radio transmission system and the multipath components thereof.
