The invention provides for a bath arrangement. The bath arrangement includes a body (12) and a recessed region (14) defined in the body (12) arranged to contain water so as to enable a person (16) to bath in the recessed region (14). A seat (18) defined in the recessed region (14) is provided on which the person (16) can sit when taking a bath. The bath arrangement further includes a volumetrically expandable formation (20) defining an internal cavity. The volumetrically expandable formation (20) is operatively associated with the seat (18) to cause the seat (18) selectively to displace between a lowered position and a raised position thereby selectively to raise and to lower the person (16) seated on the seat (18) in response to the internal cavity being selectively charged with and discharged of water. The internal cavity is typically selectively charged with water from a mains water supply.
