<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile power steering device capable of ensuring steering feeling even if using a small-sized hydraulic pump. <P>SOLUTION: The automobile power steering device 1 driving a hydraulic pump 22 by an electric motor 20, comprises a reversing detecting means 19 detecting whether the automobile is reversing or not, and a controlling means 16 (S8) controlling the speed of rotation of the electric motor according to vehicular speed and steering speed.
