PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve appropriate light quantity control with existing parts without being affected by variation in wavelength or the like.
SOLUTION: A first region 31 and a second region 32 are formed at a rise mirror 4 arranged in an optical path between a light source and an optical disk. In the first region 31, a part of a laser beam emitted from the light source is transmitted and guided to a detector for monitor. In the second region 32, residual of the laser beam is reflected and guided to the optical disk. The first region 31 is formed at least inside the second region 32. Since the rising mirror 4 has originally a reflection region, the optical element for monitor can be easily realized by using the rising mirror 4. Also, since incident light is separated at the first region 31 and the second region 32, even if variation in the wavelength of the laser beam made incident on the rising mirror 4 is caused, appropriate light quantity control can be performed without being affected by the variation based on the monitor light obtained through the first region 31.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
