<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colorimetric method which can correctly distinguish a pattern whose color tone is measured, even when the contrast of the pattern subjected to colorimetry is less sharp, and a colorimetric device. <P>SOLUTION: In this colorimetric method, a background member 20 of a square column is installed on the back of printed matter 90 opposite to a colorimetric sensor for measuring the color tone of a registration mark 91, and the background member 20 has the side painted alternately in white and black and also a motor 21 mounted for rotating the background member 20. When an arithmetic device 30 distinguishes the registration mark 91, the color tone information of the registration mark 91 is measured in case a background color is white and black respectively by driving the motor 21 for rotating a background plate. In this case, the registration mark 91 is distinguished using the color tone information indicating a significantly sharp contrast between the background color and the registration mark 91. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
