<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently oxidize, decompose and remove various hazardous substances such as NO<SB>x</SB>and SO<SB>x</SB>contained in a gas and to also remove organic hazardous substances such as phenol and dioxins which are aromatic substances. <P>SOLUTION: In the subject oxidative decomposing device of the hazardous substances in an exhaust gas in which a metal rod coated with a conductive oxide is disposed at the central section of an electrically insulated cylindrical container, which is determined to be an anode (10), the external side thereof is concentrically enclosed with a perforated metal plate, which is determined to be a cathode (11), a metal cylinder coated with a conductive oxide is accommodated outside the cathode and inside a cylinder (12), and is provided with an inlet section (13) of the gas to a cylindrical container and an outlet section (15) thereof, current of 1 to 50 mA in frequency of 50 to 150 Hz at line voltage of 0.4 to 7 kV/cm is applied to the anode (10) and the cathode (11). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
