PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar type static eliminator with a good ion balance at both sides. SOLUTION: In the bar type static eliminator provided with a plurality of discharge needles arranged so as to alternately irradiate positive and negative ions by way of positions, impression voltage on the discharge needles at both ends is made lower than that on the discharge needle at the center to improve an ion balance distribution. From steps on the way of a multi-step voltage doubler rectifying circuit generating the impression voltage on the discharge needle at the center, a lower voltage is drawn out to make an impression voltage on the discharge needles at the both ends.
