PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high-level electrophotographic properties, capable of obtaining high-level image quality by suppressing occurrence of image defects such as ghost and fog, and capable of stably maintaining these over a prolonged period of time. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises a conductive support 3 and a photosensitive layer 6 containing hydroxy-gallium phthalocyanine having the highest peak wavelength in a range of 810-839 nm in a spectral absorption spectrum in a wavelength region of 600-900 nm and an arylamine compound represented by formula (I), wherein R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>4</SP>each denote a 1-5C (un)substituted alkyl group; R<SP>5</SP>and R<SP>6</SP>each denote H or a 1-5C (un)substituted alkyl group; and R<SP>7</SP>and R<SP>8</SP>each denote H, a 1-5C (un)substituted alkyl group or (un)substituted aryl group.
