PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicle position managing system which avoids troubles due to battery dead of on-board apparatus for vehicle position management, when a vehicle position managing system is served, and to provide the on-board apparatus for vehicle position management. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle apparatus 1 includes a battery 15 for supplying power supply voltage to a GPS position detection means 11, a control means 12, and a communication means 13, and an A/D converter 14 for monitoring the voltage of the battery 15. The control means 12 generates voltage information, showing the residual capacity of the battery 15 based on the output data of the A/D converter 14, transmits the voltage information to a center apparatus 2 by using the communication means 13.
