PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical glass substrate tray which prevents contamination or blemish from occurring during the transport or storage of an optical glass substrate. SOLUTION: An upper surface rising wall section is formed on the upper surface of this optical glass substrate tray, and a lower surface rising wall section is formed on the lower surface of the tray. A plurality of the trays are made stackable by the fitting of the upper surface rising wall section and the lower surface rising wall section which are adjacent to each other, and on the internal side of the upper surface rising section, an upper surface optical glass substrate housing region for planarly housing a plurality of optical glass substrates is formed. On the surface of the upper surface optical glass substrate housing region, a mounting-supporting section for mounting the optical glass substrate at an optical effective specification out-of-range position, and a plurality of discontinuous upper surface protuberances for positioning the optical glass substrate being mounted on the mounting-supporting section in the horizontal direction are formed as an optical glass substrate holding section. In a region corresponding to the upper surface optical glass substrate housing region of a lower surface optical glass substrate housing region on the internal side of the lower surface rising wall section, posture suppressing protrusions which suppress the posture variation of the optical glass substrate are formed.
