PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal-combustion engine for a motorcycle capable of preventing a fuel supply device from being heated by the heat emitted from a cylinder block etc. and enhancing the layout balance around the body of the engine. SOLUTION: The internal-combustion engine of fuel injection type in which the cylinder axis is arranged upward facing alongside a plumb plane in the fore-and-aft direction passing the body center of the motorcycle, is structured so that the fuel supply device 19 and a suction system device 23 are installed in distribution to the left and right of a part behind the cylinder block 17b and a cylinder head 17c while the body center surface 1a is pinched by them 19 and 23.
