REAR STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear structure for a vehicle body capable of absorbing the difference in height between a rear side frame and a rear bumper reinforcement without separately using a connection member to absorb the difference in height in the vertical direction. SOLUTION: A rear bumper reinforcement 11 extending in the vehicle width direction is fixed to rear ends of a pair of right and left rear side frames 6 extending in the longitudinal direction via a crash can 10. The rear bumper reinforcement 11 is an integrally formed article consisting of a metal plate as a whole. The rear bumper reinforcement 11 is set in a shape having a pair of right and left reinforcement shoulder parts 11A having an upper face at the height substantially matched with the upper faces of the rear side frames 6, and a reinforcement center part 11B which is formed between the pair of right and left reinforcement shoulder parts 11A with its upper face being lower than the upper faces of the reinforcement shoulder parts 11A.
