PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an area limiting reproduction system with a favorable reproduction property by providing a guideline for a speaker position and a microphone position.

SOLUTION: There is provided an area limiting sound amplifying method in which M sensors (M≥2) are arranged on the periphery of the space where sounds should be reproduced and the sounds are reproduced by controlling a delay between mutual sounds reproduced from N sound sources (N≥2), and a frequency characteristic based on outputs from the M sensors to reproduce the sounds only within the space due to decrease in energy of the reproduced sounds outside the space. In the area limiting sound amplifying method, each of the sound sources is spaced unequally in a line.
