PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a long delivery distance in delivery of a quantum encryption key.

SOLUTION: The equipment uses a relaying apparatus 14 and a quantum correlation photon pair generator 13 to attain a long delivery distance in the delivery of a quantum encryption key and correctly carry out long distance delivery. The relaying apparatus 14 comprises a 2×2 photocoupler 15 and two photon detectors 16, 17 connected to output ports of the photocoupler. The quantum correlation photon pair generator 13 is an apparatus for generating signal photons and idler photons from pump photons by a optical parametric process and typified by a secondary optical nonlinear crystal.
