<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of notifying a host server side of the dissolution of a service call error when the service call error is recovered by a power off/on operation by a user. <P>SOLUTION: The most recent state regarding occurrences of the service call errors at a printer 16 (steps S61 and S62) is preserved in a backup RAM 12a each time a status change occurs (steps S63 and S64), and when the user performs the power off/on operation and a printing device is reactivated (step S65), if the most recent state at the time of the previous activation is a service call error occurrence state (step S66), the current status of the printer 16 is transmitted (steps S68 and S69). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
