METHOD FOR PRODUCING ARTERIAL FIBRILLATION MODEL ANIMAL, METHOD FOR CAUSING ARTERIAL FIBRILLATION AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING ARTERIAL FIBRILLATION INHIBITOR BY USING ANIMAL INDUCED WITH THE ARTERIAL FIBRILATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and effectively utilize the paroxysmal arterial fibrillation model animals having an onset mechanism resembling to that of human in screening for evaluating the efficacy of an arterial fibrillation inhibitor (antiarrhythmic drugs).

SOLUTION: This method for producing the arterial fibrillation model animal is provided by inserting an electrode catheter to the heart of a dog having complete atrioventricular block and inducing the arterial fibrillation by electrically stimulating sinoatrial node or interatrial septum with reproducibility. By administering an arterial fibrillation inhibitor to the complete atrioventricular-blocked dog induced with the arterial fibrillation, the efficacy evaluation of the inhibitor is performed.
