PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a new yeast thioredoxin (TRX) by rapidly and simply carrying out the preparation of the yeast thioredoxin from a yeast extract highly containing the TRX. SOLUTION: The rapid and simple preparation of the yeast thioredoxin can be carried out by carrying out at least one time of a step for extracting a fraction containing the thioredoxin from a yeast cell by using an ultrafiltration membrane to prepare the fraction containing the yeast thioredoxin in high concentration. The ultrafiltration membrane is preferably in a flat film shape, and preferably a combination of 1,000 kDa, 100 kDa and 5-6 kDa. The content of the yeast thioredoxin based on the total protein contained in the finally obtained extract is within the range of 0.1-25 mass%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
