PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of a flicker, harmonic distortion and terminal noise even when a resistance value of a heater is lowered to raise a calorific power. SOLUTION: This heating device is provided with a control means controlling the calorific power of a plurality of heating means every half cycle of a commercial alternating current power supply according to the temperatures detected by a temperature detection means detecting temperature of a heating means by phase control. A first prohibition period and a second prohibition period wider than the first prohibition period are set between each half cycle. The energization starting timing of the plurality of heating means is controlled to forbid to start energization to all the heating means during the first prohibition period, and not to start energization to the other heating means during the second prohibition period when starting energization to one of the heating means during the second prohibition period.
