PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inexpensive parking equipment which can be utilized as a standby space and a temporary stopping area for a vehicle except an exterior wall on a ground surface, and which facilitates a drive-in operation by providing a single space for loading the vehicle, and juxtaposing a plurality of parking towers for respective different vehicle heights. SOLUTION: The plurality of parking towers 2, 2a and 2b are juxtaposed; one ground surface GL is provided as the space S for loading the vehicle, wherein open spaces are provided in the front and rear of a position of an elevating space E; the space S is provided with a device 29 for distinguishing dimensions of the vehicle C; a conveying truck 19 for transferring the vehicle C to upper and lower floors is arranged; and dimensions of parking rooms X of the respective parking towers 2, 2a and 2b are changed, so that the device 29 can make the vehicles distributed by the conveying truck 19. This solves the following problems: (1) the plurality of conventional juxtaposed parking towers are each equipped with the two or three spaces for loading the vehicle, which are enclosed with exterior walls; and (2) though the waiting time of a user is reduced by rapidly performing the storage/retrieval handling operation of the vehicles for being loaded and unloaded because the vehicles are efficiently loaded and unloaded by virtue of the plurality of spaces for loading the vehicle, the parking towers are made expensive because they are provided with the spaces for loading the vehicle, which are provided on the ground surface enclosed with the exterior walls, and place great importance on the good-looking interior finish of the space for loading the vehicle.
