PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool which facilitates replacement of machining tips of a machine tool in a short period of time. SOLUTION: The tool 10 of the machine tool has a disk-like or annular tool main body 12 and an arched tip holder 14 detachably attached to an outer or inner periphery of the tool main body. The tip holder is divided into a plurality of arched lightweight sub-tip holders 14a-14e. The sub-tip holders 14a-14e have mounted thereon a plurality of machining tips 18a-18e or a plurality of sets of machining tips, respectively. When a number of the machining tips 18a-18j on the tool 10 are wholly worn and they should be replaced by new ones, only the sub-tip holders 14a to 14e are removed from the tool main body 12 to be replaced by new ones while the tool main body 12 is kept mounted on the machine tool as it is.
