PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a padding body having a high cushioning property despite of being thin, being smooth to the touch, being comfortable to sleep, and scarcely causing bed sore or decubitus. SOLUTION: This padding body is so formed that inner cotton 2 is stored inside ticks 1a and 1b, and the ticks 1a and 1b and the inner cotton 2 are integrally quilted. A stretching inner fabric 3 having elasticity is intervened in either layer of the inside of the ticks 1a and 1b, the fabrics are quilted with the stretching inner fabric 3 stretched in either direction, and after the quilting, the stretching inner fabric is returned its non-stretched state so that non-quilted parts are swelled by the natural contraction.
