In said vehicle, the door is slidingly mounted on the body of the vehicle with the aid of a rail (15) and at least one guide element (21). The vehicle also comprises a retaining element (33) which, when the door is closed (11), engages with the rail (15) in order to retain the door (11) in relation to the body (3) when the door is deformed in a first direction which is transversal in relation to the direction of extension of the rail in the event of an impact to the door. The retaining element (33) is arranged at a distance from the rail when the door is not deformed and can be displaced in relation to the rail (15) in a second direction (L) which is substantially transversal in relation to the direction of extension of the rail and to the first direction in order to enable the door (11) to be opened and closed.
