The method for the provision of bubble-free liquid carbon dioxide for a consumer involves storing liquid carbon dioxide in a tank (1) which then flows through an extraction line (4) to a valve (6) before the consumer. The liquid carbon dioxide in the tank or a buffer container is heated to a temperature above the outside temperature or above the temperature of the consumer, and is cooled in the extraction line. The heating takes place between 1 and 10 degrees and preferably 5 degrees. An independent claim is included for a device for the provision of bubble-free liquid carbon dioxide including a tank heater (2) with a regulator (3) to raise the temperature of the liquid carbon dioxide to a value above the outside temperature or temperature of the consumer.
