A molding apparatus (1') comprises machine flame (39), supporting upper and lower molds (2, 3), each having inner core mold (8, 10) and adjacent outer edge molds (9, 9', 11, 11') and includes drive elements (4', 5', 6'). The two outer edge molds co-operate with one another to receive, press and slipingly hold edge rim of the raw materials blank and allows its edge to slip towards inner core mold, while the central body portion is being deformed. The drive elements move outer edge mold relative to the machine flame and moves the inner core relative to the outer edge. The apparatus also includes a controller (40) that controls the drive elements such that the two core molds cooperate with one another to receive, deform and mold main central body portion of the raw material blank.
