<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly move a front hood of an automobile by an airbag. <P>SOLUTION: The folded airbag 21 is stored under the rear end of the hood 3. The airbag 21 is provided with a first air chamber 41 having a hood pressing part pressing up the hood 3, and a second air chamber 42 having a pillar covering part 46 covering an A pillar. The second air chamber 42 is wound and folded after being folded at the folding line along the longitudinal direction of the A pillar. The first air chamber 41 is folded so as to enfold the second air chamber 42. When a vehicle body 1 collides with a pedestrian, an inflator 22 is started to supply gas to the first air chamber 41 of the airbag 21. The gas stays in the first air chamber 41 at the initial stage of the deployment to deploy the first air chamber. The rear end part of the hood 3 is pushed up by a predetermined dimension with the pressure of the deployment to secure the space where the hood 3 is deformed.
