<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery requiring no over-discharge protecting circuit, by preventing the negative electrode collector from dissolving, when it is being overdischarged. <P>SOLUTION: This lithium secondary battery is equipped with a positive electrode capable of storing and discharging lithium, a negative electrode capable of storing and discharging lithium bonded to a negative electrode collector of Cu or Cu alloy, and an electrolyte conducting an lithium ion.
