PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material having sealing property (vacuum holding property) and corrosion resistant gas property and capable of maintaining the sealing property and the corrosive gas resistant property for a long time and preventing occurrence of deterioration by corrosive gas even in a mounting uncompressed condition. SOLUTION: This annular seal material is mounted in a dovetail groove-shaped mounting channel 10 having an opening part 11, two side wall faces 12, 12 approaching mutually when approaching the opening part 11 mutually, and a bottom wall face 13 and having annular plane. This seal material is composed of an elastic seal main body 1 arranged on a bottom wall face 13 side of the mounting channel 10 and a corrosion resistant ring 2 arranged on a mate member 20 side approaching the opening part 11 relatively. The elastic seal main body 1 has a laterally turning-over bow-shaped part 3 swelling onto the bottom wall face 13 side, a neck part 4 extending onto a mate member 20 side from the laterally turning-over bow-shaped part 3, and a swelling coming-off prevention part 5 provided continuously with the neck part 4. A cross sectional face of the corrosion resistant ring 2 has a substantially cup shape opened onto the bottom wall face 13 side and having a fitting recessed part 6 in which the neck part 4 and the swelling coming-off prevention part 5 of the elastic seal main body 1 are fitted, and the corrosion resistant ring 2 has locking protruding parts 7, 7 protruding so as to approach mutually in both opening fringe parts 9, 9 of the fitting recessed part 6.
