PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device of a type that a system is activated at a high speed even in using an external storage such as a hard disk or an SD card for a boot device. SOLUTION: The electronic device is provided with a CPU 101 for compressing all or a part of programs including a boot program, storing them in a nonvolatile memory 103, and developing the compressed program in a RAM 104 while expanding them by hardware at power supply.
