PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: scroll compressors in growing numbers are operated at a low compression ratio in response to increase in efficiency of a freezing/air conditioning apparatus in recent years, under such operation conditions, a swirl scroll is separated from a fixed scroll and operated while often being overturned. SOLUTION: In the inside of an end plate 13a of the swirl scroll 13, a path 80 is provided. In the path 80, one opening is made open onto the face where a fixed scroll 12 and the end plate 13a of the swirl scroll 13 are brought to a sliding operation, and the other opening is made open onto a back-pressure space 29. Thus, oil-film pressure on the sliding face of the end plate 13a of the swirl scroll 13 and the fixed scroll 12 is reduced, and the force to separate the swirl scroll 13 is reduced, and even in operation at a low compression ratio, the overturning phenomenon of the swirl scroll 13 is restrained from occurring.
