PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll screen device which dispenses with arrangement of two roll screen units in parallel with each other, and is free from a fear of excessive extension or cutting of vertical strings when screens are strained. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the roll screen device, two mesh screens 11, 12 superposed on each other have their ends wound on a winding shaft 2. When the winding shaft is rotated to wind up or wind out the screens, the two superposed screens are relatively moved with respect to each other to shift mesh locations, to thereby change light transmittance via the screens.
